Frank Bliven

Frank Bliven, classical and baroque guitarist, renaissance and baroque lutenist, received his Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1972. At the conservatory, he studied guitar privately and in master classes with Michael Lorimer. He also studied under Robert Strizich in the history and literature of the guitar and other fretted instruments. He received his Master of Arts degree in classical guitar performance from Western Washington University in 1976. Franks teaching experience includes his appointment as Instructor of Classical guitar at Western Washington University from 1972-1976. He also held a similar position at Southern Illinois University.
